I’ve only been back at getting my artwork out there for about six months. In that time I have attend a couple cons, made dozens of new friends, created work I am proud of, helped as many people in as many ways as I can, and made a bunch people say curse words in satisfied glee by drawing stuff.

Thank you all for being part of that!
Special thanks to my supporters on Patreon. Every little bit helps and I appreciate you all.

November and December were particularly radio silent months for me, with very little chatter about creative work. Some of that was because I was on vacation with my amazing family. I was also working on some commissions that were Christmas gifts, so I couldn’t post them publicly. Additionally, there has been a ton of writing and design work that have deadlines approaching.
This has caused a lag in the Appalachia Tales web comic, but rest assured, new content is coming soon. The 8 pages I inked in Inktober are in the process of getting finished for publication. After that, more commissions and some illustrations for prints are on deck. There will be more content share coming very soon.
There is also a super-secret project in the works that Patreon supporters will be able to see as it is built. This is a collaboration that has been in the works for a very long time. We are all just adulting well enough to start making it happen now. Knock on wood.
So, stay tuned and tell your friends.
😊

In the meantime, here are the tight pencils of a character portrait commissioned as a Christmas gift. The character’s is named Vishon. He was created for D&D by Joshua Haywood. Joshua has given me permission to show his character here, so I will be sharing the next steps on his commission as it progresses.

Happy New Year everyone, I hope everyone has a fantastic 2019!
